ummm... is that a CENTIPEDE???

IN MY HOUSE???So in case you don't know, centipedes are poisonous, and are easily differentiated from millipedes, which are nasty... but harmless. Centipedes have only one pair of legs extending from each body segment, where as millipedes have two pairs of legs extending from each body segement.

We have seen many millipedes crawling across our floors over the past 8 months. I am always grossed out, but not worried. But last night I spotted this crawling next to my bed... and to my horror I discovered only ONE pair of legs... blue legs I might add... and a red head... and it was about 5 inches long... and in my bedroom...

Amazingly, I still slept fine. Thank you Jesus.

You are a brave woman! I don't mind bugs and spiders, but the poisonous kind makes me NERVOUS to say the least. We have tons (for some reason) of brown and black widows. They usually stick to the outdoors, but we have found a few in the house recently! Ahhhhh! I will be thinking of you and hoping your centipede intruders don't return!!! By the way - what did you do to get rid of it?

Well at least you can see it coming with those bright colors. Gross and creepy. Most bugs don't bother me, but that one would not be welcome at all. Yeah, how do you get rid of it? (are they fast?)

My husband performed a sneak attack from the rear with a hand-full of napkins as his weapon. *Flush* bye bye

Hi, I just found you while surfing - this is my lazy time since I've been so busy becoming a grandma in the past few days. :) Love your blog and look forward to viewing more of it.
