schedule, sweet schedule

It's 11:35am, Anna just finished lunch and is in her crib for a nap. I'm eating my lunch now, in the peace and quiet of my new "craft area" and playing on my computer. I was just sitting here thinking how thankful I am for learning about the Babywise schedule when Anna was born. We know it's controversial, but it sure has worked for us... and we continue even still, at 15 months, to keep her to a schedule. I love it! She knows what her day looks like. I know what the day looks like. And I always eat my lunch in peace because I know exactly when Anna will be napping. It's a beautiful thing!

Must be wonderful. I have have days where my little guy doesn't take a nap until 3 or 4. I wish we'd actually done the "schedule" thing from a very young age, it would have made our lives so much easier.

I'm right there with you girl! When Nevaeh was first born, we weren't on any kind of schedule. I nursed her (still am) and she wasn't like clock work in any way. It's just been over the last 6 months that we have started getting on a pretty regular schedule. I felt we had to in order for me to actually get things done. It has worked wonders for us as well.

I haven't heard of Babywise, but I had Morgan on a schedule from the very beginning (even though some people think you shouldn't start so young). I am so glad I did, she craves schedules now. On the weekend I get peace and quiet at 11:30am too!

That is a great feeling! Now that my son is almost four I have to be more flexible. There are days we skip the nap to go do something fun at that time of day. It does tend to get a lil wacky when we do that, but we all know it's coming and don't make too much of it.
